Perth

With a population of 1,477,800, Perth is Western Australia's largest city and also its capital. Perth is bordered by the Indian Ocean and the Darling Ranges and is located on the banks of the Swan River. Perth was named by Captain James Stirling in 1829 after Perth, Scotland. Although first settled as a "free colony", in 1850 the settlers faced many difficulties and had to accept help from Britain in the form of convict who built many buildings including the Perth Town Hall, Government House and the Fremantle Prison. Today, Perth is a thriving city and for the visitor it offers much attraction both sporting and cultural.

The Deen - Manik Mondays at The Deen have turned into Perth's BIGGEST Student, Backpacker and Industry night. Happy Hour kicks off at 6pm with the bbq running from 730pm. Plastix Max and the Token Gestures hit the stage at 9pm backed up by DJ Birdie on the decks. There is a pool comp, great drink specials and heaps of weekly prizes.
